Break Time Slash n Burn at Don Q's 2

DON Q'S 2 WINS 9 - 6

Vic Kondra and captain Keith Baugher both went 3-for-3 to lift Don Q's 2 to their second victory of the season. Break Time held an early 2-1 lead in this match, but after the first frame only Jon Hernandez and captain Evan Henderson were able to win their games. Don Q's 2 (2-2) climbed to 7th place while Slash 'n Burn (1-3) fell to 9th place.

Break Time Underdogs at Uptown Lounge 1

UPTOWN LOUNGE 1 WINS 12 - 3

5th place Uptown Lounge (2-2) made it two wins in a row with their 12-3 domination of the last place Underdogs (0-4). Barnaby Draper and Don Perkins combined for six wins for Uptown. Two-game winner Chuy Velez helped keep the score tied thru the first four games, but it was all Uptown after that.

Don Q's Badgers at Mel's Lounge 1

DON Q'S BADGERS WINS 12 - 3

Reno King had three wins and a break-and-run, powering the 2nd place Badgers (3-1) to a 12-3 win at Mel's Lounge. Mel's had a 2-1 lead early in the match, but three-game winner Nate Simpson started a six-game win streak that helped put the match out of reach for Don Q's. 10th place Mel's Lounge 1 fell to 1-3. Brian Crancer, Bobby Selner, and Kai Duex had the lone Mel's game wins.

Monty's Misfits at Don Q's 1

DON Q'S 1 WINS 8 - 7

Thanks to three-game winners Ed Drayton and Sean O'Brien, 6th place Don Q's 1 was able to even their record to 2-2. Don Q's didn't taste the lead in this match until the beer frame. All five Misfits posted a win early on in the match. With the score tied 5-5, Drayton and Brian Shillington opened the beer frame with wins to put Don Q's on the hill. Monty's Bob Pastor and Jorge Salcedo then won back-to-back games to tie the score at 7-7. The hill-hill match was between O'Brien and Misfit captain John Bushnell. Sean defeated John and the 3rd place Misfits (3-1) were handed their first loss of the season.

Moose Lodge 2 at Break Time Bunch

BREAK TIME BUNCH WINS 10 - 5

The battle between the top two ranked teams in 'A' Division went to the Break Time Bunch as they corraled the Moose, 10-5. Mike Rys led Break Time with three wins. After Mike's second win, the Bunch hald a 5-1 lead that the Moose could not overcome. Ismael Huerta notched his third and fourth table run of the season for the Moose. With the win, the Break Time Bunch (4-0) climb into 1st place. Their first loss of the season drops Moose Lodge 2 (3-1) all the way to 4th place.

Break Time Otters at Sportsman Trojans

SPORTSMAN TROJANS WINS 11 - 4

Break Time's Laura Craig had two wins and was able to help keep the score close in the first frame, but three wins each by Sportsman's Bob McLean and Leana Finley proved too much to handle for the 8th place Otters (1-3). The 6th place Trojans evened their record at 2-2.

Don Q's Sharks at Monty's 2

DON Q'S SHARKS WINS 11 - 4

3rd place Don Q's Sharks improved to 4-0 with an 11-4 victory at 10th place Monty's 2 (0-4). Phil Beach led the Sharks with three wins. The big story of this match was the return of Maurice Elias. After a five-year layoff, Elias, a three-time division champion, had 3 of Monty's 4 game wins.

Mel's Cartel at Moose Lodge 1

MOOSE LODGE 1 WINS 11 - 4

1st place Moose Lodge 1 (4-0) continued their hot play as they crushed the visiting Cartel by an 11-4 score. Ismael Reyes and Jimmy Smith combined for six wins to power the Moose attack. One of Mel's captain Casey Black's two wins was a break-and-run, the second of his career. Mark Waldinger ended the match with a win against Gerardo Guerrero. Gerardo was the last remaining undefeated player in the league.

Moose Lodge 3 at Break Time Travelers

BREAK TIME TRAVELERS WINS 9 - 6

The 5th place Travelers got solid three-win performances by Logan Pfefferle and captain Brandon Luehrs in their 9-6 win against visiting Moose Lodge 3. After Break Time built a large 6-2 lead, the Moose, behind three-game winner Jose Perez, took the next three games to close the gap to 6-5. That's when Logan and Brandon completed their 3-0 nights and finished off the Moose. 9th place Moose Lodge 3 fell to 0-4.

Sportsman Nuggets at Break Time Ball Busters

SPORTSMAN NUGGETS WINS 13 - 2

The 2nd place Sportsman Nuggets improved to 4-0 with their 13-2 victory at Break Time. Rachel Johnson had three more wins and continues to sit at the top of the 'B' Division standings. Teammates Derrick Craig and Andy Reagan joined Rachel in the three-win circle. Meagan Soloff and Dana Ochoa had the lone wins for 11th place Ball Busters (0-4).

Carp & Linden Pub 2 at Carpinteria Knights

CARPINTERIA KNIGHTS WINS 10 - 5

The 4th place Carp Knights (3-1) doubled up on hometown rival Carp 2. Captain Eric Romero got the first of his two wins to help keep the score close thru four games, but three-game winners Paul Nelson and Don Risdon then took over and put the match out of reach. 8th place Carp & Linden Pub 2 fell to 1-3.
