Break Time Bunch at Mel's Lounge 1

BREAK TIME BUNCH WINS 8 - 7

For the third straight week, 3rd place Break Time Bunch (3-0) squeezed out a close win, this time against 7th place Mel's Lounge (1-2). This match was extremely tight right to the end when Break Time captain Kez Gillatt beat Mel's William Rodriguez. Three wins by Break Time's Mike Rys was the difference in this match. Alex Moray had three wins to lead Mel's Lounge.

Break Time Underdogs at Don Q's Badgers

DON Q'S BADGERS WINS 11 - 4

The 4th place Don Q's Badgers (2-1) recovered from last week's hill-hill loss to post an 11-4 win against the 11th place Break Time Underdogs (0-3). Terri Bentzinger and Jeremy Warner combined for six wins for the Badgers, who had this match wrapped up before the beer frame. Warner ended the night with his first break 'n run of the season. Underdog Chuy Velez had 3 of his team's 4 game wins.

Don Q's 1 at Break Time Slash n Burn

DON Q'S 1 WINS 12 - 3

6th place Don Q's 1 (1-2) posted their first win of the season, a 12-3 domination of host Break Time Slash n Burn. Don Q's 1 swept the first frame and cruised from there. Sean O'Brien and Gene Manriquez had three wins each for Don Q's 9th place Slash n Burn (1-2) was led by Jon Hernandez, who had two wins and a break-and-run. Hernandez leads the lead with 105 points.

Don Q's 2 at Moose Lodge 2

MOOSE LODGE 2 WINS 12 - 3

1st place Moose Lodge 2 (3-0) had no problem handling 10th place Don Q's 2 (1-2). Ramon Rodriguez, Andres Cortez, and Ed Guzman combined for nine wins to power the Moose. Ace Guerrero had two nice wins for Don Q's, beating Ismael Huerta and Alfonso Lazaro. Ismael's other two games were break-and-runs; his third consecutive season with a multi-break-and-run match. Alfonso also had a break 'n run.

Uptown Lounge 1 at Carp & Linden Pub 2

UPTOWN LOUNGE 1 WINS 10 - 5

Don Perkins posted his team's first three-win performance of the season, helping 8th place Uptown Lounge (1-2) win its first match of the season. Two-game winner Eric Romero helped Carp keep the score close early on, but Uptown turned it up a notch in the second frame and Carp could not recover. 5th place Carp & Linden Pub 2 fell to 1-2.

Break Time Travelers at Don Q's Sharks

DON Q'S SHARKS WINS 13 - 2

With a 13-2 win at home against The Break Time Travelers, The Don Q's Sharks improved to 3-0 and moved up three spots to 2nd place. After Break Time's Albert Covarrubias opened the match with a win over Stephen Bluett, Don Q's won the next 11 games. Debbie and Phil Beach both had three-win nights, as did team captain Matt Carr.

Carpinteria Knights at Sportsman Nuggets

SPORTSMAN NUGGETS WINS 8 - 7

Down 5-2, the 3rd place Sportsman Nuggets (3-0) needed solid play from 3-4-5 players, and they got it. Andy Reagan, rachel Johnson, and Anthony Saenz got two wins each and the Nuggets were able to sneak away with an 8-7 win against the powerful Carpinteria Knights. The Knights built their big lead thanks to three-game winner Don Risdon. But Risdon's game 13 win was his team's only win over the last six games. With the loss, the Knights (2-1) fell from 1st to 4th place.

Mel's Cartel at Break Time Otters

BREAK TIME OTTERS WINS 9 - 6

Jeff Azevedo had three wins to power the Break Time Otters to a 9-6 victory at home against Mel's Cartel. This match went back and forth over the first 12 games, but with the score tied 6-6, the Otters buckled down and took the last three games. This was the first win of the season for the 8th place Otters (1-2). Ellwood Ramirez had two wins to lead the 6th place Cartel (1-2).

Moose Lodge 1 at Break Time Ball Busters

MOOSE LODGE 1 WINS 13 - 2

With a huge 13-2 win against the 11th place Ball Busters (0-3), Moose Lodge 1 (3-0) moves to the top of the 'A' Division standings. Gerardo Guerrero, Jimmy White, and Ismael Reyes had three-wins each for the Moose. Ashley Robinson and Avonell Ogden had the two Ball Buster game wins.

Sportsman Trojans at Moose Lodge 3

SPORTSMAN TROJANS WINS 11 - 4

The 6th place Trojans (1-2) finally woke up this season and posted their first victory, an 11-4 convincing win at the Moose Lodge. Bob McLean and Chris Ackler both had opening frame table runs to help Sportsman jump out to a 5-0 lead. The Trojans were able to secure the win well before the beer frame. Jose Perez had two wins (one was a break-and-run) for the the 9th place Moose (0-3).

Monty's 2 at Monty's Misfits

MONTY'S MISFITS WINS 13 - 2

The all-Monty's affair was decidedly one-sided as the Misfits hammered Monty's 2 by a 13-2 score. Captain John Bushnell led the Misfits with three wins and a table run. Teammates Ernesto Sanchez and Jorge Salcedo also had three-win nights. With the lopsided victory, the Monty's Misfits (3-0) climb into a 1st place tie with Moose Lodge 2. Justin Drewisch and Brian Hoppers scored the lone wins for 10th place Monty's 2 (0-3).
