Don Q's 1 at Don Q's Badgers
DON Q'S 1 WINS 9 - 6
A battle for 3rd place in 'A' Division took place at Don Q's as the Badgers hosted Don Q's 1.   The two teams traded blows over the first six games, and after six the score was tied at 3-3.   That's when Don Q's 1 took over, taking 6 of 7 games to secure the victory.   Captain Jim Holloway led 3rd place Don Q's 1 (8-2) with three wins.   Terri Bentzinger and Jeremy Warner had two wins each for the 7-3 Badgers, who fell to 5th place with the loss.
Mel's Lounge 1 at Break Time Underdogs
BREAK TIME UNDERDOGS WINS 11 - 4
The 10th place Break Time Underdogs (2-8) got their second victory of the season, an 11-4 win over a severely shorthanded Mel's Lounge.   9th place Mel's Lounge (2-8) was playing with only three players, and they were able to keep the score even thru the first eight games before crumbling under the forfeit losses.   Chuy Velez and Harvey Miller got two wins each for Break Time.   Alex Moray was Mel's only two-game winner.
Moose Lodge 2 at Carp & Linden Pub 2
MOOSE LODGE 2 WINS 9 - 6
2nd place Moose Lodge 2 (9-1) kept their division title hopes alive with a 9-6 win in Carpinteria.   Ramon Rodriguez paced the Moose with three wins.   Eric Romero and Peter Garcia led 7th place Carp 2 (3-7) with two wins each.   Division leader Ismael Huerta suffered his first two-loss night of the season, tightening up the top of the 'A' Division points standings.
Break Time Ball Busters at Mel's Cartel
MEL'S CARTEL WINS 9 - 6
Despite a nice three-win performance by Break Time's Meagan Soloff, 8th place Mel's Cartel (4-8) was able to hold off the 11th place Ball Busters (2-8) and post a 9-6 victory.   The bulk of the Cartel's offense was supplied by three-game winners Armin Akhbari and Matt Nordin.   After Armin's last win, Mel's was on the hill at 7-4.   Meagan answered with her third win to make the score 7-5, then Mel's Matt Marsit forfeited his last game because he suddenly had to leave.   The Cartel finally put a nail in Break Time's coffin when Mark Waldinger won game 14.

Moose Lodge 1 at Don Q's Sharks
DON Q'S SHARKS WINS 8 - 7
The Sharks and the Moose had a classic battle at Don Q's in which the Sharks were trying to keep their hold onto 1st place and the Moose were trying to catch them.   The two teams split the first four games, and Shark captain Matt Carr gave his team a 3-2 lead at the end of the first frame.   Thanks to two-game winners Gerardo Guerrero and Mario Reyes, the Moose came alive in the second frame and won the first three games to take a 5-3 lead.   Don Q's answered with a four-game win streak that put them on the hill at 7-5.   Coco Padilla and Jimmy White gave the Moose hope when they won games 13 and 14, sending the match to an exciting hill-hill conclusion between Matt and Gerardo.   The final game was well fought, but Matt Carr emerged as the victor and the night's only three-game winner.   With the victory, the 1st place Don Q's Sharks (9-1) have a two-match cushion with two matches to play and will be extremely tough to catch.   The 6-4 Moose dropped to 4th place.
Sportsman Nuggets at Break Time Otters
BREAK TIME OTTERS WINS 8 - 7
