Monty's Misfits at Carp & Linden Pub 2

MONTY'S MISFITS WINS 8 - 7

Monty's Ernesto Sanchez went from goat to hero in a wild back-and-forth match against Carp 2. There were five lead changes prior to Ernesto's hill-hill game against Adrian, and Ernesto was the only Misfit without a game win. Ernest beat Adrian to give Monty's an 8-7 victory. The win by the Misfits spoiled a nice three-win, one table run performance by Carp's Peter Garcia.

Don Q's 1 at Break Time Bunch

BREAK TIME BUNCH WINS 9 - 6

This was a clash between two 'A' Division heavyweights, and it was won 9-6 by The Bunch thanks to six combined wins by Mike Rys and George Guerrero. Brian Shillington, Ed Drayton, and Jim Holloway had two wins each and were able to keep the score tied thru 12 games, but Break Time took the last three games to secure the victory. Guerrero ended the night with a break-n-run.

Don Q's 2 at Don Q's Badgers

DON Q'S BADGERS WINS 11 - 4

Jeremy Warner and Reno King were both three-game winners in an 11-4 Badger victory over Don Q's 2. Don Q's 2 was missing a player in this match. Keith Baugher had 2 of the 4 game wins for Don Q's 2.

Break Time Slash n Burn at Break Time Underdogs

BREAK TIME SLASH N BURN WINS 11 - 4

With their combined six wins, Jon Hernandez and Dean Robb helped Slash and Burn the Underdogs. SnB opend the match with four straight wins and cruised from there. Hernandez had a break-and-run in his second game and climbed to the top of the 'A' Division leaders. Underdog captain Erika Sacks matched her best career effort with two wins.

Moose Lodge 2 at Uptown Lounge 1

MOOSE LODGE 2 WINS 9 - 6

Moose 2 jumped out to a 6-2 lead at Uptown Lounge, and Eric Kaiser's squad could not recover. There were no three-game winners in this match, but plenty of two-game winners, including Moose Lodge's Ismael Huerta, Ed Guzman, Andres Cortez, and Ramon Rodriguez. Barnaby Draper and Pete Conover led Uptown with two wins each.

Moose Lodge 1 at Moose Lodge 3

MOOSE LODGE 1 WINS 11 - 4

There were a herd of Moose at the Moose Lodge as Moose Lodge 3 hosted Moose Lodge 1. After a long hiatus, Antonio Martinez returned to lead Moose Lodge 1 with three wins. Teammates Gerardo Guerrero and Mario Reyes joined Antonio in the three-win circle. Jose Perez and Juan Manzo both had one win for Moose 3, as did teammates Katie and Lani.

Carpinteria Knights at Monty's 2

CARPINTERIA KNIGHTS WINS 12 - 3

James Maertens and Chad Murphy were both 3-for-3 in the Knights 12-3 win at Monty's Monty's kept the score close thru six games, but the Knights took the last nine games to win convincingly. Rosalie Breeland led Monty's with two wins.

Break Time Ball Busters at Break Time Travelers

BREAK TIME TRAVELERS WINS 11 - 4

The Travelers won the first six games against the Ball Busters and cruised to an 11-4 victory. All the Travelers had at least two wins, and Albert Covarrubias led the team with three wins. Ashley Robinson had a nice two-win night for the Ball Busters.

Break Time Otters at Don Q's Sharks

DON Q'S SHARKS WINS 9 - 6

The underdog Otters outswam the Sharks thru the first half of this match, but thanks to three wins by Cyril Muckenhirn, the Sharks were able to finally take a big bite out of the Otters and win 9-6. Two-game winners Michael and Laura Craig helped the Otters evade the Shark bite for as long as they did. The score was tied 6-6 when Cyril won his third game of the night. That win sparked Don Q's to a three-game frenzy that ended the match.

Sportsman Nuggets at Sportsman Trojans

SPORTSMAN NUGGETS WINS 11 - 4

The traditional week-one Sporty vs Sporty match has turned into a Nugget avalanche. The Sportsman Nuggets, led by three-game winners Rachel Johnson and captain Anthony Saenz, destroyed the Trojans 11-4. This was the largest-ever win for Saenz over Chris Ackler's Sportsman team. Ackler led his squad with two game wins.

Mel's Cartel at Mel's Lounge 1

MEL'S LOUNGE 1 WINS 8 - 7

Mel's Lounge 1 had to piece together a team before the start of their match against home-bar rival Mel's Cartel, but once they did they were able to defeat the Cartel by an 8-7 score. The two teams were neck-and-neck through the first two frames. Bobby Selner opened the beer frame with his second win of the night to put the Cartel ahead 6-5. Teammate Cevin Doppman did the same in game 12 and put the Cartel on the hill. The hero of the night, Alex Moray, responded with his third win to close the gap to 7-6. Teammate Andrew Acosta beat Cartel captain Casey Black to knot the score at 7-7. Kai Duex then beat Cartel's Mark Waldinger to give Mel's Lounge the victory.
