Players of the Week for March 3, 2015 | ||
Shaun Snyder (Don Q's Fab 5) and Cate Imperio (Mel's Cartel) | ||
---|---|---|
Shaun has won all three games in a match twice this season, and both times it was against the Badgers. Unlike last time when the Fab 5 lost, Shaun's three wins powered his team to a 9-6 victory in a match that decided which of the two teams would occupy 4th place. Though her team dropped a close 8-7 decision, Cate had her first three-win night in almost 15 months. | ||
Honorable Mention(s): Pete Conover (Uptown Lounge) In the battle for 6th place in 'A' Division, Pistol Pete had three wins in Uptown's 10-5 come-from-behind victory against Break Time 3. A. Vafa / S. Moreno / J. Zambelli / J. Tessmer (Don Q's Slow Start) Al, Steve, Jim, and Jeremy combined for 12 wins in the huge Slow Start victory. Tessmer stood out from this crowd of three-game winners as he added a table run and a break-and-run. Robert Rosa / Brent Boone (Don Q's Dragons) Rosa and Boone both went 3-for-3, and Brent's table run helped him extend his lead in 'A' Division. Ed Guzman (Moose Lodge 1) Fast Eddie recovered nicely from last week's 0-3, posting three wins and a table run in an 11-4 Moose romp at Monty's. Alfonso Lazaro (Moose Lodge 2) Alfonso's three wins were the deciding factor in the Moose victory over Sportsman. This match was critical for both teams in their quest for 2nd place in 'B' Division. Salvador Ibarra (Old Town Tavern) Old Town needed all three of Salvador's wins in the 8-7 victory over the Cartel at Mel's Lounge. James Maertens / Ernie Rivas (Carp & Linden Pub 1) Both James and Ernie have been hovering around the All-Star cut-off, and their combined six wins will help. Gene Manriquez (Don Q's 1) Don Q's 1 needed a win to stay in 2nd place, and Gene's 3-for-3 performance helped his team win 9-6 at the Cliff Room. Jose Perez (Moose Lodge 3) Captain Jose had three wins to power Moose Lodge 3 to a 10-5 victory at home over Carp & Linden Pub 2. Jim Steele (Sportsman 1) Though his team lost, Steele's three wins and a table run helped him maintain his position in the top-10 of the ultra-competitive 'B' Division. |
